Responsible for drafting and prosecuting US and foreign patent applications in the chemical, biotechnology, mechanical, and pharmaceutical arts. Responsible for arranging and conducting prior art searches. Successfully interviewed U.S. Patent Examiners to advance patent prosecution. Responsible for representing a number of foreign patent firms, doing their U.S. national stage entry and patent prosecution. Responsible for filling U.S. prosecution, foreign prosecution, facilitating transition and minimizing costs when foreign filing U.S. applications and vice versa.

Responsible for coordinating Mr. Colitz’s international public relations. Subcontractor position, part-time, after hours.

Patent Examiner- Chemical Engineering Group
Responsible for review and disposition of patent applications in the semiconductor crystal growth class. Performed professional, scientific, technological, and legal work in the examination of patent applications. Utilized all basic and advanced techniques of chemical engineering including concepts of material science, physics, polymer science, ceramic, crystal growth, etching, coating, and metallurgical engineering. Followed all protocol for procedural and substantive law and the statutory and case law applicable to the patent examining process. Relocated with husband’s job to Florida.

Responsible for coordinating the work of 12 chemist involved in the analysis of drinking water, wastewater, soil, sludge, wipes and paint for industrial and Government (Federal and State) customers. Responsible for developing laboratory protocols, test methods, quality control, customer audits, repair and maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments. Responsible for generating and updating the Section’s Standard Operating Procedures and coordinating employees training.
